Sweeter Than Candy
The above picture is of my painting, Pile of Candy. I completed it a few hours ago and posted it on Instagram, marking my 50th painting in 50 consecutive days in my #100DayProject.
There were days that were harder than others, but being consistent and knowing that I needed to post as my accountability kept me on track. I found the simple process of mixing the first color that I would use for the sketch or underpainting really got me going. It created momentum and I finished what I started. Every day.
It is a milestone that I'm proud of and wanted to celebrate with a subscriber giveaway on my Instagram. I'm giving away supplies to get anyone started on their own acrylic painting journey. With a set of brushes, a set of paints, a palette, palette knife, and 20 art panels.
I'm hoping to inspire someone else to pick up a brush and begin.
Not too long ago, I posted about joining Instagram and my first painting. Now I have 50 paintings and I've learned so much about acrylics and posting. There is a ton of inspiration and I really am enjoying the platform.

You Can Quote Me On This by Elsa Mendoza is a book I'm currently reading. The quote that started my day was:
"Another day. Another chance. Another opportunity." --Elsa Mendoza
That quote really resonated with me. I wrote that on a post-it note by my desk. It is all in perspective, please don't dread your days.
- Do you see your day as something that has to slogged through?
- Or do you see it as a chance?
- Or an opportunity to try something new or get one step closer to your goals?
How you frame it can change everything.
I hope you have an inspired and creative week!
