Day 100 and What Comes Next — Marie Schaeller

Day 100 arrived and I posted my 100th acrylic painting on Instagram (pictured above left, Beached Space Invaders). I took some time to look back at some of the paintings and really see how far I've come (pictured above right). It is amazing to see some of the earlier pieces.

I was excited to reach this milestone, and the best way I thought of celebrating reaching this goal was to begin a new 100 day project. Intending not to waste time, I started a new project. I feel like I have unfinished business, paintings I still want to paint. Ideas I want to translate to paint. New experiments and surfaces I want to paint on. I'm excited by all the possibilities.

Painting truly makes me focused on the next color and I can shut out my worries, stress, and losses. I'm grateful for this opportunity and the encouragement I've received.

Each day is another opportunity to improve.
